Special info from an e-mail received 11/05/07:
This Friday's teaching by Caroline Simmonds has been expanded to
include live music from the new band Kaladrios. Here's the description
from Arlene Imagawa:
The workshop on November 9th will be an extra special event: a Greek
dance workshop with Caroline Simmonds (8 - 9 pm) followed by the
passionate, stirring sounds of Kaladrios, a new Greek Dance band (9 -
11 pm).
Caroline lived in Greece for three years and currently teaches Greek
Dance in the Bay Area as well as at the San Francisco group, Greek
Feet.
Kaladrios plays music from mainland Greece as well as the Greek
Islands. The members include: Aya Davidson, violin and vocals; Greg
Jenkins, clarinet; Dennis Demakos, lauto and vocals; Sandy Hollister,
percussion and vocals; Alan Davidson, bass; and Lily Storm, vocals.
