This is the Bay Area Country Dance Society schedule for the
week of Monday, February 18, 2008.
BACDS sponsors English and American traditional dances in the
San Francisco Bay Area.
This is fun, relatively easy, community-oriented dancing with
live music. All dances are taught, no partner is necessary,
and first-timers are welcome unless otherwise noted.
Admission to Friday, Saturday & Sunday dances $10; all
others $9. Please wear clean shoes with non-marking soles.
SPECIAL NOTE:
Friday's San Francisco Contra will offer an extraordinary musical
treat featuring a rare appearance by legendary Cape Breton piano
player Barbara MacDonald Magone visiting us from San Diego. She will
play with virtuoso fiddler Kevin Carr of the bands Hillbillies from
Mars and Wake the Dead, now living in Ashland OR. To learn more,
check out their web sites <http://www.barbaramagone.com>
and
