I plan to be [at Cheryl Burke Dance's Grand Opening]. It's been on the
Special Events page at http://geocities.com/dancefest/Specials.html
for about two weeks.
No, I've not made a reservation and probably won't.

I simply doubt she'll get the crowd she thinks she will. I hope I'm
wrong.
I also doubt that money in hand will be rejected. I hope I'm right.

Maybe. We're going to an opera early and Cheryl's announcing that the
evening is "Sold Out" so maybe we won't get in.
June 14:
Too bad you left so early. The DJ did a very good job.
By actual count, there were about fifty people there at 9:30 and forty
not long after yet I was told that the place was jam-packed earlier. I
was also told that Cheryl was there before we arrived but, apparently
unclear on the concept, didn't dance with any of us.
I was also told that [the former owner] wasn't there.
The opera, Lucia di Lammermoor, was an absolute knockout, the
secondmost enjoyable I've ever seen with magnificently beautiful music
by G=E6tano Donizetti and heavenly singing by Natalie Dessay in the
title r=F4le. It opened at il Teatro San Carlo di Napoli on September
26, 1835. It's going to be presented, gratis, at China Basin Stadium
Friday hence. It won't have the sets and lighting of the Opera House
but it should be fun, anyway.
