Bush's missteps have no bearing on the Pelosi's told for the Dems to get 
control back. She knew damn well that there was nothing that she and her 
cohorts could/would do to bring down the cost of gas. If anything their 
failure to allow drilling in many areas where there are huge amounts of
oil, 
add any new refineries or extend tax credits for solar and wind research
are 
all putting pressure that are raising energy prices even more.
