Pelosi and other Dems firmly stated that they would bring DOWN the cost of
Gas and they have not. They have done STOPPED anything that has come along
that would bring prices down.

There's something we are in agreement on.

I have a number of stories that have stated refineries running at capacity
a
number of times over the last few years, and anytime there have been any
problems at at refineries, prices jump. More refineries would effect the
cost of Gas.
As to not drilling in certain other

There are some spots here in Santa Barbara County where they are able to
hit
oil pockets at sea, while slant drilling from land. It works and there are
many places including here, where new drilling is not being allowed.
ANWAR has become a red herring for the "Ecosfreaks".
The same "Ecofreaks" that said the pipeline in Alaska would wipe out Elk &
Moose and their numbers are now UP dramatically.
The same "Ecofreaks" that have screamed and fought Nuclear power and now
the
even original founder of Greenpeace has said that science is AGAINST what
the "Ecofreaks" state. France gets over 80% of their power through
nuclear.
The same "Ecofreaks" that said the spotted owl can only grow in old growth
forrest until a familiy of owls was found living in a Kmart sign.
There have been plans preposed that would be using less than 1000 acres
out
of over a MILLION acres, So less than 1% of the land being used to drill,
99% stays pristine, plus they can, and have sworn to be able to completely
remove any footprint after they are done. Even if that were faulty, again
99% remains pristine!
Between 1) nuclear, 2) ANWAR, 3) off shore and the 4) new finds in the
Dakotas we could be independent of any Mid-East oil. The first 3 items
that
absolutely would reduce energy prices have been fought by Pelosi, who
again
promised lower Gas prices and has fought everything that has come through
Congress that could do what she promised.
Tax credits? Do we have any idea the magnitude of tax

Go back a read what I wrote, it's tax credits for SOLAR and WIND power
that
have NOT been extended and will be ending, and there was a piece in the NY
Times today about that.

If I make a promise to you and don't perform it would be my fault, but in
this case it wasn't that Pelosi didn't perform, she FOUGHT everything that
would reduce prices on energy.
Pelosi flat out lied about being able to reduce the price of Gas,
especially
when she has been an impediment to any legislation that COULD bring down
the
price.
