I suggest you study the history and phenomena of Modern Jive
and Ceroc in the UK and Europe.  Basically, by taking the
name "Jive" and removing all basic entry requirements for
timing, technique, lead and follow frame, etc. but by using
popular music, they were packing hundreds of young people
into ballrooms (600 at one dance I attended).  According to
some re****ts, it was a quite profitable business.

However, this dance was largely incompatible with the
existing community of Jive or swing dancers, so what ended
up was the creation a completely separate community and
activity.  It wasn't at all an expansion of the existing
dance community, thus there was no effect or requirement
of "steering" the existing ballroom or partner dance
community.

So, if this is your goal, why not leave Hustle alone,
and create FlynnSwustle(tm) or something?  You can laugh
at the rest of us all the way to the bank.
