Polyester ****rts and bell bottoms were also popular during
the disco era.  How many young people do see wear that
attire today (except for Halloween)?

You don't seem to have done your research.  Several Hustle
dancers from 1980 and earlier have said that they counted
the dance as "&1.2.3" back then.

Any activity that actually does appeal to the AARP age group
will have good upside potential, since that ****tion of the
U.S. population will be growing over the next decade.

The risk is that this could well kill off Hustle as dance
form that still has an active community, leaving WCS and
Salsa in its gap.  I would look up "unintended consequences"
before trying to sell random suggestions.
