I think it's safe to say that Trish Conery is yet another West Coast
swing dance teacher with an opinion about Hustle -

Lets just cut to the Chase Trish - you like to dance slow.  I've seen
ya dance.

You also know very very well that hustle has an aging problem.

My students don't do poorly. Everyone has Seen Chrsitine Sofie, Yvonne
Stone and Alegra Tsaki, Anne Renzi  and Suzzane Sadler win at States
here having never competed in hustle dance prior to meeting me.

You aren't the brightest bulb Trish - you say you haven't met me, and
you ARE a dance teacher vested in slow dancing.  Your opinion reflects
the analysis of one who hasn't understood the original objection, and
thus advocates NO change in a dance environment YOU YOURSELF
acknowledge has a problem PRECISELY as I describe it.  There are no
young people to carry hustle forward Trish - you and I agree
completely on that.  Our problem here is IQ Trish - and we need to get
people incapable of analyzing this or any other complex problem OUT of
the drivers seats in decision making.

Agreed?  Tragically - by speaking up here - you've shown that that
person is you (among others).

You'd be the first to admit you're no rocket scientist.  While also
you'd also admit that the problem I cite here DOES exist.  Folks -
it's not my job to fix YOUR problem - I am an analyst and an engineer
first - dancer second.  I have long opposed this west coast like
conversion of Hustle to this great BPM slow down.
Ron's post is equally foolish - just plain foolish.  Ron, you know
DAXX well that though &123 counting started early on, people dancing
that way DID dance to the fast stuff in 1980 they can not POSSIBLY do
NY styled hustle to today.

Sit back folks -and consider why private industry isn't coming to you
with 6 figure offers to solve the nations security problems - the
reason is right between your ears.  When I see a dance teacher driving
cars like mine - I'll be doing what you are doing Trish.  Till then,
if you know that you agree that there's a problem PRECISELY fitting
the one described and you know you're not an analyst - DON'T analyze.
If you must jump in with poorly though out oppinions - instruct your
dentist on how to conduct your root canal.  If he argues with you -
tell him to start a tooth paste company.

My starting a utube or a major dance comp has absolutely nothing to do
with this matter. It's is not up to me to save all of hustle from
short sighted folks who wanted to change the dance into their little
monopoly.  The girls and I will enter NON IHDA events from now on.
These events do NOT mandate NY hustle.  But regardless - we have the
problem we do because we are stupid (Trish & Ron - I mean you) - same
as converting food to fuel.  And I don't have to do a utube or a build
a refinery to prove that ethanol has less energy per gallon, is
subsidized at 51 cents per gallon, and has 296 times the green house
effect of CO.

Now Trish - being from California - I bet you think I am all wet on
that fuel matter also - but agree that gas and food prices are high.
Why not consult one of your friends in engineering BEFORE you type
something foolish to respond to THIS comment (about ethanol) - for
everyone everywhere to read - all OVER the country and permanent on
the internet.

My gosh....this is just sad.....
